  4. Unable to install files

    Most likely you purchased a program that is not compatible with your handheld. Check the product listing page for a complete list of compatible devices.

  5. Installing Microsoft .NET Compact Framework

    For pre-Windows Mobile 2003-based Pocket PC handhelds some software may require installation of the free Microsoft .NET Compact Framework redistributable.

  6. HP Jornada 560 series installation

    1. Transfer the application .jad and .jar files to your Jornada. For example, use ActiveSync to place the files in My Documents. If installed from a Compact Flash card, you must place the .jar and .jad files in the My Documents folder on the card. If necessary, create a My Documents folder on the card and place the files in this folder or any subfolder.
    2. On the Start menu, tap Programs.
    3. In the hp Applications folder, tap the hp MicroChaiVM icon - the Application Manager screen will display.
    4. On the menu bar of the Application Manager screen, tap Install.
    5. On the Install Source screen, tap Select JAD file and browse to select the application .jad file.
    6. If the Application Descriptor screen shows the application you want to install, tap Yes. After a successful installation, a Success screen will be displayed.
    7. On the menu bar of the Success screen tap Finish. The application will appear on the Application Manager screen.
